Joseph Abbate was born and raised in the historic district of Oak Park, Illinois. Only one block away from the Frank Lloyd Wright Architectural Studio, and only a quarter mile away from the Ernest Hemingway home.
At the age of 19 he felt a strong calling to follow the Lord in ministry. He moved to the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. He served in the ministry of St. Symeon’s for over 25 years and eventually became president of the ministry.
He received musical inspiration in 2010 and decided to record a few of the songs. He believes that in today’s hectic pace, that many people can receive just as powerful a message in a song as from a pulpit Both are important to reach people with the Good News of the Gospel. Therefore Christian music should always glorify God only and should have melodies that can stay with people throughout their day.
